At some point you may have been approached by me to do some modeling. Normally I will have approached you for some reason, there will be something about you that caught my eye, and maybe the eye of my camera.
Sometimes it is for all the normal reasons, pretty smile, great eyes, just the usual. Other times it might be something a little more specific, such as the back of your neck or your hand. In industry there are models for every part of the body, after all who’s hand is wearing those rings in the catalogues, or who’s neck has the necklace on.
You may have been approached by myself or one of my photographer friends, but we all have one goal, and that is to improve our photography skills. We are out to have fun and hopefully capture a few photos of yourself that you did not think possible. We might present them to you as captured, or with heavy photoshop additions 
We work on the concept of “pose for prints”. We don’t make any money out of the photos, but we do improve our skill, so by providing you with the photos of our sessions you get to have a few hopefully different ones for your collection or facebook/myspace/etc.
Depending on the shoot, this could involve a walk around the City of Melbourne, or a more involved weekend away. All shoots are on your terms, so if you are not interested in what we are proposing, say no, it is that simple. Also bring a friend, safety in numbers
Normally we will make contact with you, at an event or walking down the street, give you a business card, and point you to this web address. I hope this can provide you with enough information to see that we are legit group of photographers out for fun.
So here is some more information, I guess like an FAQ.
SO WHAT IS THE PROCESS ?
Firstly we arrange a shoot in Melbourne CBD, this will normally be with one or two photographers, perhaps a lighting assistant. Normally we will pick a laneway with some interesting graffiti on the walls. It also takes not too much of your time, so wear something nice, don’t go overboard on makeup

CAN I PICK THE LOCATION ?
Sure, remember it is all about fun, so you are more than welcome to pick a place that you are comfortable with or enjoy. Remember we do use lenses and poses that blur out the background, so unlike a point and shoot camera you will not see much of the background.
DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO WITH STUDIO LIGHTING ?
At the moment none of us do, we would normally do indoor shooting when we are on one of our photo trips, but sometimes we do it in our houses.
ARE THE PLACES SAFE ?
Yes, we do not pick places that risk your life, risk police visits or put our equipment in danger.
A MALE PHOTOGRAPHER APPROACHED ME, BUT I WOULD RATHER A FEMALE PHOTOGRAPH ME. POSSIBLE ?
Of course. We are not a group made entirely of men. Please note that normally the person who approached you had a reason to which may not be apparent to another photographer. All efforts will be made, but in the event that a female is not available you might have to chose if you go ahead, or we stop.
SO WHAT IS A PHOTO TRIP ?
Generally a group of us go away for the weekend to take specific photos, beach sunrise, waterfall, or mountains. Such as these photos:

Not nessisariarly, something about you caught our eye, we approached you in the hope that we can capture it on film (well digital). that does not mean you can’t make it. Who knows, you might find you enjoy it and want to try your luck elsewhere with an agency.
